In 2017, we took over Sprinks Farm and immediately began a programme of investment and renovation with the aim of building a sustainable and diverse ecology within its 88 acres.
Today, the pasture and woodlands are largely dedicated to our beautiful free-roaming deer population, comprised of two herds, red and fallow. Our farm is also now home to several traditional British rare-breeds of cow, pig and sheep, which we’re proud to see flourishing year on year.
From the fresh spring water, the organic food supplements we use, through to the natural untainted grass and forage, our animals are raised on the best natural ingredients. We make sure that this is carried forward into the highest quality meat.
Every cut of meat purchased from Sprinks Farm is fully traceable back to the field where the animal grew up.
We work with local suppliers to minimise our impact on the environment and our non-intensive approach and lack of fertiliser, pesticide, herbicide, and other chemical use, means that we can be proud in the knowledge that we are nurturing our environment, not harming it.
We’re organic family farmers that are incredibly passionate about sustainability, and we ensure all our practices have as little impact as possible on the surrounding environment. We even have a fleet of little electric vans, so be sure to look out for them on the estate and out and about!
In October 2022 we set up Sprinks Farm Shop so that we could offer our field to fork produce. Not only do we sell venison and other free-range meats fresh from our farm, but we also stock the finest produce from other local farmers who share our passion for good, organic, sustainable food. You’ll find everything you need on our shelves to cook up a storm, from the finest cuts of meat to fresh vegetables, breads, pies, cheeses and cakes, so be sure to stop by and see us, you won’t be disappointed!
